Blogging conference: Surviving the stateless
The Chita's' A Papachibé and his mare 'came with the proposal for a collective blogging about being stateless and happy with their decision and called all the blogger in a similar situation, not only stateless country but' region '(people who change from one state to the other, mainly in Brazil) to address the issue. The idea is to help each other and with advice of what to do to feel happier and more 'at home' away from home.
I quote:
You wanted brazuca and stateless somewhere on this planet (valley from another planet, since the blog, or at least the post referring to this blogging comes in Portuguese), tell us your secret of survival stateless. We want to hear your tips on how to deal with entreveiros a country, people, culture and different habits and even strangers to us and be happy.
Before you start reading my portion I notice: no need to agree with me. Incidentally, if you do not agree, I'll love to hear why in the comments.
I use strong language and popular. Because I like it. OK?
Do not enjoy it?
Squeeze the x in the top of your window.
Enjoy
.
From where comes the stereotype.
For so long I spent half resentful of disgust and displeasure of some Brazilian living in these parts, but never crashed on me the fundamental difference between my situation and the 'friends' whiners: most do not have any link with the country they blows while I and many others are married to a British and / or have children born here. Sure, sure, and obviously has exceptions. But in my case however, was most unfortunately.
Most who complain, do not see the UK as 'home' but a place that will make them in one way or another, to solve the problem $ $ left behind.
Nothing against, quite the contrary. Each does what needs to be done the way they see fit as long as it does not interfere in my life.
What I am against is spit in the dish you eat and the followers of 'the end justifies the means'.
And therein lies the problem is that these two things: the stigma and the label they transferred to us that has nothing to do with the matter and pay the bill.
The interference in my life as a foreigner in the house of another.
Yes, I and thousands who do not share the idea that so-and-media Cyclanes uses and abuses to have 'his return'.
We ended up being printed with the same label.
Bitter on my part? BOTA BITTER about it.
How many of us have come across situations where we are compared to a fellow FDP have never seen more fat, but that, besides being born on the same land that their is a notoriously shameless? Go ahead, spew ai: 'Brazil is all the same. "
My tips:
1) Buddy, do not do unto others as you would not want them do unto you. Cool you're in the land of gringo and have the arrogance to think they are all jerks and you with their fucking 'Brazilian way' and trickery, will 'kick some asses. " And fuck you know? Here nobody knows you and you will soon bite the mule. Good reason to trash the bandstand? I question.
Cool, but I and others who carry the passport whiting'll stay here and pay for their lack of character and honesty.
Queridão So, have a little consideration and when you clean your ass, do not rub the paper on the wall right?
2) The life here're hard? Here's all crap? Here are all shits?
Come on, the situation does not look easy for anyone, not pros here. Then it's time to evaluate your posture and decide: sink or swim. Where is your happiness and peace of mind? Here in Brazil, the moon, the PQP?
Decides there and talk to us. Whatever you decide, good luck.
3) Do not generalize. Here are people who are prejudiced and tired of foreigners also have people who still have hope and give you a credit.
Why is it that prejudice're increasing?
You already took a look around? It has more than estrageiro British right? Yeah, so it's not stupidly they are upset.
But as we're good people, we show that by being here, we are more a boon than a burden. Let's not screw up. Let us show that we will be one (and we!) Happy to have as neighbors. How? If integrating with the community, communicating with colleagues in the language they understand and know the land where you chose to spend [a time of, or] her life.
You will notice one day that although the UK is being "colonized" they will look at you and say you're different, wants to be PART, you're good. And it is worth every day of sacrifice out of our country, away from family, right?
Whatever your situation (married estrageiro, just passing through, or for financial reasons), keep in mind that whatever you do here will reflect not only on you as a person but a nation.
You are the one shot pebble in the pond, and ripples in the water are their attitudes. Noted that as a pebble shook entire lake?
So do right!
Consideration, honesty and responsibility. This is the beginning of a happy life.
Wherever you are.

Hi Carol.
I really enjoyed your post. I think if one does not integrate and be living with the spirit of "we're better" or "in Brazil but is not so," she will not be happy anywhere.
I think the first thing is to learn the local language. I've heard stories of Brazil who are abroad and how to live with only Brazilians have never been interested in learning the language right nor the customs of the country.
For me this is absurd. Moreover the language is impossible without getting a job at least decent.

Hello,
I found your blog by blog Luciana HÃ¥land.
I like your post, I agree 100% with you.
Tb am a stateless, live nine years in Japan. I came to do a doctorate, I finished, I got a job in the area and up to here today, the first two years and compared complained very much, but then I saw that this does not lead to anything and will not make me happier. Today to super happy and well suited here. Br taste, after it was born, I created it, but adapted very well here on earth from the rising sun.
Here tb has many Brazilians who came only to save money and even living more than 10 years need to interpret everything and does not live without a shop of Brazilian products. (Pq not understand paying so absurdity to buy Brazilian detergent or chocolate milk has a similar one here!)
So this is it

Surely this is a very interesting subject and will help many people who're thinking of changing. I filled the bag of many expatriate, right here in Germany and abroad, before moving to Heidelberg. And they were wonderful, gave me a lot right information and helped me make the decision. Vim well aware of what life would be here.
Now not eg expatriate life easier ... and walks us find people who complain here, in Brazil ... but some people love it even complain about everything.
My motto is "let life take me ..." and always say, everything has its advantages and disadvantages, here and in Brazil.
Honey, thanks! Bjks

I loved your post and know what life is like a stateless in the UK. Here in Canada is different, Canadians are not so averse to immigrants as the British seem. It is interesting to see this issue from the standpoint of Brazilians in various corners of the world.

Queen of the Kingdom.
@ Ana , I think the difference between the Canadian and British perceptions of the immigrant is that Canada is a country that was formed by immigrants enqto the UK has never been a colony of anyone but here is just a small island, where you can not to accommodate all immigrants + asylees. I think that is worrying other places and unfortunately manifests itself in some disgust. And therein lies the question of being labeled.
Q None of those are against immigration, never took time to ask me (or ask) what is my (or several people) situation.
But do what ball to front: up:
